Remote pharmacy medication order entry is a service in which licensed pharmacists review and enter medication orders from hospitals or healthcare facilities into your existing pharmacy information system, working from a secure remote location. This extends your pharmacy coverage to nights, weekends, and holidays without the cost of additional in-house staffing.
Yes. All AOS pharmacists are licensed in the states we serve and credentialed to your facility's standards. We maintain active multi-state licensure and DEA registrations as required.
Absolutely. AOS operates under signed Business Associate Agreements with every client, uses encrypted VPN connections, enforces multi-factor authentication, and maintains full audit logs for every order processed.
Our service-level agreement targets a turnaround of 30 minutes or less for routine medication orders, with STAT orders prioritized for immediate review. Most clients see average turnaround well under this target.
Yes. We work directly within your existing pharmacy information system (Epic Willow, Meditech, Cerner, Pyxis, Omnicell, and others) via secure remote access. No new software for your team to learn.
We bill a flat hourly rate or per-order rate based on your coverage needs. Contracts can be month-to-month or annual, and we offer scaled rates for facilities under 50 beds.
We offer 24/7/365 coverage, evenings and overnight only, weekend-only, or holiday coverage. Many clients use AOS to cover the 11pm–7am shift where in-house staffing is hardest.
